A lot of indigenous queer\/trans history has been lost or destroyed due to colonisation so they have to protect what little they have left.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn the centre of the artwork is a shield with a triangle pattern. As triangles are the strongest shape found in nature, this represents the strength and resilience of the gender diverse mob. The second element is ENOKi's figures, with the addition of butterfly-like wings representing the idea of transformation and how people's, especially indigenous people's, concept of the under can come in many different forms, and their own relationship with gender can range in a variety of ways.”\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cb\u003e\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eAbout ENOKi\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eDarcy McConnel a.k.a ENOKi (they\/them) is a Dja Dja Wurrung, Yorta Yorta, Wemba Wemba and Gunai\/Kurnai multi-media artist based on Wurundjeri Country.
